ABOUT US
Welcome to activeintouch.org – the network that makes being active, exercising and being involved in activities much easier. Activeintouch.org went live in August 2004 and this is a brief overview as to how the site could benefit you, your team, your club, your society, your organisation or company, your association, and even a great place to go for the day with the family .
Activeintouch was developed to help everyone be more active, whether it be doing sport, dance, fitness, health, leisure or travel. Activeintouch.org helps you explore the active world easier by searching for people who enjoy the same things as you, and assists and motivates you to really enjoy exercise and physical activities. Membership is open to anyone aged over 16, and for any activity at any level.
Whether it’s golf or dancing, gym or aerobics, squash or skiing, football or fencing, jogging or gymnastics, or even a walk in the park, activeintouch.org will make it easier for you to be more physically active. Activeintouch.org lets you make the most of your time and offers a quick and easy way to find activities at times that suit you.
Activeintouch was devised and developed by Richard Edwards, a trained Personal Trainer, Football Coach and keen sportsman whose aim was to provide new structures for people to take part in more sport, dance, fitness, health, leisure and travel and take more exercise.
“Anything we can do to encourage people to be more active and to take more exercise has to be a positive step. Activeintouch.org provides a great way for people to get together and make the most of their time. We have invested a great deal to make the site simple and easy to use, and we offer smart and flexible infrastructure for clubs and associations to promote their activities and attract new members.”
“We would like activeintouch.org to develop with our members, so please let us know if there are ways that we can improve our services. It would be fantastic if activeintouch.org achieved a small shift in culture towards sport, dance, fitness, leisure health and travel and exercise by encouraging everyone to be active just a little bit more.”
